What We Believe
We Believe…In the authority of the Word of God.
We believe the Bible in its entirety is divinely inspired and serves as the final authority in all matters of belief and behavior (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21) We value Bible-centered preaching and teaching as the foundation of all we do.
That we were all created to Worship God.
Glorifying God is the ultimate purpose for all life. (John 4:23-24) Therefore we seek to praise and worship him with integrity, passion and reverence, both individually and as a congregation.
That prayer is the privilege and responsibility of every Christ-follower.
There is nothing outside the will of God that is within the reach of prayer, and there is nothing within the reach of prayer that is outside of the will of God. God unleashes His power in the lives of those who develop the discipline of prayer. (Matthew 6:7; 1 Thessalonians 5:17) We intentionally set aside time for prayer both individually and corporately.
That every Christ-follower is called to minister in His name.
He has gifted all to serve Him and to share His love. (Ephesians 4:11-12) Thus we seek to provide opportunities for growth, development and training so that we can realize each and every gift of the Body of Christ.
In missions and evangelism.
God desires a personal relationship with every individual. Thus, we engage in personal evangelism and missions, endeavoring to carry the message of salvation to all people, regardless of race, ethnicity or economic status. (Matthew 28:19-20; 2 Corinthians 5:18-20)
Fellowship in the community of faith.
God has called us into existence as a community of Christ-followers. (Romans 12:10; 1 John 4:7-11) We actively pursue personal relationships among the body of believers that are characterized by integrity, accountability, service and encouragement.
We are called to be good stewards.
We are to properly manage all that God has given us - including our time, money, and abilities - to expand His kingdom. (1 Corinthians 4:2; 1 Peter 4:10) Every Christ-follower is encouraged to adopt a lifestyle of stewardship that begins with the recognition that God is the owner of all things and that giving is His command to us to advance the work of His church.
